Access statement for Forget-Me-Not Cottage 

West Wales Cottages welcomes disabled customers - although it must be noted that the cottages are old and were not built for disabled access. If you have specific access requirements please do not hesitate to e-mail or call us with your enquiry.

Deaf or Hard of Hearing?


•   At least one  television  in the cottage has teletext. 
•   Hearing dogs for the deaf are welcome at all properties
•   Although there are audible smoke alarms, there are currently no alarm
     systems for the deaf installed at the  cottage. However, this is
     something we are planning for the future.

Partially sighted or Blind ?

  • Guide dogs and assistance dogs are welcome.

Wheelchair user or guest with limited mobility?

  • Please note that the cottage is an older property with many original doorways and an elevated garden area in the rear. The house and garden were not designed with wheelchair access in mind and the back garden may be unsuitable for those with limited mobility. 

  • There is level access from the parking space to the front door, with a small step into the house.

  • There are nine steps from the back door up to the garden.

  • There are no downstairs  bedrooms and the bath room is upstairs. The bath room is not specifically adapted for disabled use.

  • The cottage is up the hill about a quarter of a mile from the centre of New Quay
