Deaf or Hard of Hearing?
• At least one television in the cottage has
teletext.
• Hearing dogs for the deaf are welcome at all properties
• Although there are audible smoke alarms, there are currently no
alarm
systems for the deaf installed at the
cottage. However, this is
something we are planning for the future.
Partially sighted or Blind ?
Wheelchair user or guest with limited
mobility?
-
Please note that the
cottage is an older property with many original doorways and an
elevated garden area in the rear. The house and garden were not designed with
wheelchair access in mind and the back garden may be unsuitable for
those with limited mobility.
-
There is level access
from the parking space to the front door, with a small step into the
house.
-
There are nine steps
from the back door up to the garden.
-
There are no downstairs
bedrooms and the bath room is upstairs. The bath room is not
specifically adapted for disabled use.
-
The cottage is up the
hill about a quarter of a mile from the centre of New Quay
