           The Location of Rosemary Cottage

The Cottage is just half a mile from the coast of West Wales between New Quay and Aberaeron (20 miles south of Aberystwyth and 18 miles north of Cardigan) . From Llanarth on the A487 coastal road, turn towards Newquay on the B4342 (junction by the Llanina Arms Hotel).  After about a mile you will see the New Quay Trading Company on the left and immediately afterwards the 'Gilfachreda' village road sign also on the left. Take the first corner on the right (no road sign) and after 200 metres bear left.  Rosemary Cottage is the second white house on the right. The cottage location is indicated by the red arrow (see map below).

From the Midlands or the North
There are a number of routes that can be taken to the Cottages from the Midlands and the North depending on the starting location. These will be either through Aberystwyth or Lampeter.

Via Aberystwyth: Take the A487 from Aberystwyth to Llanarth. Turn right at Llanarth on the B4342 (by the bright yellow 'Llanina Arms' pub and restaurant ). After a mile you will see the Gilfachreda road sign on your left. Take the first turning right after this sign and continue for 200m. At the 3 way junction bear left and  Rosemary Cottage ('Ty Rhos Mair') is the second white house on the right.

Via Lampeter: Take the A482 to Aberaeron ( don't be tempted by the 'short cut' from Ystrad Aeron to Llanarth - several people have got lost coming this way). At Aberaeron turn left on the  A487 to Llanarth.
