From the Midlands
or the North
There are a
number of routes that can be taken to the Cottages from the
Midlands and the North depending on the starting location.
These will be either through Aberystwyth or
Lampeter.
Via Aberystwyth: Take the
A487
from Aberystwyth to Llanarth. Turn
right at Llanarth on the B4342 (by the bright
yellow 'Llanina Arms' pub
and restaurant ). After a mile you will see the
Gilfachreda road sign on your left. Take the first turning
right after this sign and continue for 200m. At the 3 way
junction bear left and Rosemary Cottage ('Ty Rhos Mair') is the
second white house on the right.
Via Lampeter: Take the A482 to
Aberaeron ( don't be tempted by the 'short cut' from
Ystrad Aeron to Llanarth - several people have got lost coming this way). At
Aberaeron turn left on the A487 to Llanarth. Turn
right at Llanarth on the B4342 (by the bright
yellow 'Llanina Arms' pub
and restaurant ). After a mile you will see the
Gilfachreda road sign on your left. Take the first turning
right after this sign and continue for 200m. At the 3 way
junction bear left and Rosemary Cottage ('Ty Rhos Mair') is the
second white house on the right.
