Rosemary cottage is in the small village
of Gilfachreda a mile or so from New Quay in Cardiganshire, West Wales and
just a 10 minute walk along a country lane from Cei Bach Beach (photos
below). This is a popular and sometimes busy location - especially in
the summer holidays.
ACCOMMODATION: 5 bedrooms sleeping a maximum of up to 8 people as well as a
toddler in a junior bed and a baby in a full size cot. However, the cottage provides spacious and
comfortable accommodation for a smaller family or even a couple . There
are 2 double bedrooms, one upstairs with a four-poster bed, the other
double being downstairs with an en-suite shower room. Also upstairs there
is a twin bedroom, a bedroom with full size bunk beds and a junior bed.
There is an upstairs family
bathroom. There is a separate small bedroom upstairs with a full-sized cot. A
second cot and high chair can be provided if requested. Bed linen
and towels are provided for 2007, but will not be provided for 2008.

The large kitchen / Dining room has a gas cooker, microwave, fridge-freezer,
washing machine and all the usual small appliances. The dining
table seats 8, while the first sitting room has a flatscreen
TV with SKY satellite
channels, a VCR,
DVD, CD Stereo and a wood -burning stove. There is also a second sitting
room. There are also colour televisions in the master bedroom and the
Kitchen / Dining Room. There is a selection of videos, games and books for both adults and children.

CHILDREN: In one twin room there are bunk
beds and a junior bed. There is also a cot in its own room. The
other twin bedroom is also suitable for children. There are 2
door-gates and a fire guard for the wood-stove. For babies there is a
full sized cot , a high chair, booster seats, a wooden play pen, baby
bath, baby monitor, sterilizer, and electric bottle warmer. There is a
selection of books, toys, games and videos for children of all
ages. GROUNDS: There is a spacious fully enclosed private garden to the rear of the house,
mostly lawned with edging flower beds and trees. There is a carpeted
summer
house (12x12) with garden furniture and a barbecue. PARKING
- Parking
for one large or two small cars is in the drive at the side of the house.
Our other
private parking area for 2 - 3 cars or boat is 30 yards along the
road.
FUEL: There
is an initial supply of coal and logs for the wood burning stove.
Additional logs, coal and kindling wood can be purchased at the Llanarth
filling station or at Sheffield House Hardware in New Quay. The
house is also equipped with electric night storage heaters. Electricity and gas is included in the price.
BED LINEN - Bed linen and tea towels
are provided for bookings made for two people only. For larger groups,
guests may bring their own or it can be provided for an additional charge
of £25 per booking. PETS:
One small or medium sized well behaved dog
is welcome. TELEPHONE - There is a telephone
in the cottage for incoming calls. A BT 'In Contact
Plus' card can be purchased from newsagents for making outgoing
calls.
